Center for Accessible Technology at Ed Roberts Campus
This is a printed tool I designed for the Center for Accessible Technology at the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley, California. The nonprofit organization provides services facilitating universal access, including services to seniors and disabled individuals. The center indicated that many seniors with whom it works have difficulties with modern technology. The center requested visual instructions illustrating how to take and send a photo on an iPhone for a senior citizen course on modern technology. I created a 10 step pocket-sized foldout illustrating screens and the steps needed to take and send a photo. I used sans-serif fonts for the typography, for clarity for low-vision individuals. I conducted user testing on the tool prior to the final printing to ensure clarity and ease of use.
